Write a Poem, Step by Step: A Simple, Logical, Effective Way to Write Poetry with Your Students

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Thousands of students have experienced the joy of creating their own poems using this step-by-step method. Try it yourself—and pass it on! Each participant will write a draft of an original poem. Examples of outstanding poems (many written by former workshop students) will illustrate each step. Participants will receive revision tips, instructions for adapting to different grade levels and subject areas, and suggestions for encouraging students and helping them improve their poems.
